cell skewness

hello friends,

i am a new kid in CFD. I am using starCCM+ for one of my projects. It would be of great help if you could explain what is "cell skewness" and why is it important. also please indicate a better value for cell skewness and explain why it is better.

many thanks,

arun

Try to use it always below than 85 degrees.. this is how much the cell is distorted from a perfect one... try to google it!

Hi,

That was quite helpful.Yes I will try googling it. But i thought people who are actually into CFD can give a better explanation. But yeah "85 degree" was quite helpful. Thank you.
