Hello everybody. I am using Star-CCM+ 5.02 and dual cells heat exchangers. When checking the heat balance I found that 700 W disappeared although the simulation converged.
I tried in 5.04 but same problem. Any idea how to improve the heat balance? |

It is really hard to judge how you could improve your simulation with this sparse infomation.
Maybe you can describe a little bit more detailed what you have done, how you found the problem, what your domain looks like etc... I don't even know if 700W are rather 0,00001% or 10000% of the desired heat flux, which makes a huge difference on judgement of the solution. |

ok. sorry about that . 700W = more than 10% error. Not acceptable for me. The case is an heat exchanger I modeled with dual cells on both sides. I calculate the heat balance by making a heat transfer report on the inlets and outlets of both sides.

hello,
you should descibe your case and physical model ( steady, unsteady, laminar........, etc) |
