Hello,

Does anyone know how to calculate/report/count the number of particles that are penetrating a surface/boundary in the simulation.
I would like to know how many particles enter one particular region.
It would be perfect if the particle disappears (so the same particle cannot enter second time) at the boundary and is still counted.

Any ideas? Thanks!

The "Boundary Sampling" model, available under the langrangian phase models enables boundary-wise post processing. It allows to post process not just the number but also the properties of the particles at the boundary. Those values can also be tabulated

Hi,

Thanks for this information.

But I don't find this "Boundary sampling" anywhere. Also no info about that in UserGuide either.

How could I apply that?

It's a new feature. You need the latest version - 5.06 (I believe).

Pauli's right. Boundary Sampling was implemented in 5.06 so you need the latest version.
As soon as you have the Lagrangian Multiphase model activated and created a phase it's available under the models of this phase
