hey all,

is there any way to calculate the strain in STAR CCM+, not the strain rate which i can find? , can the strain be found in steady state simulations?

thanks

Fluids continuously deform under stress, so strain rates are used instead (as opposed to strain in solids). If you really want, you can multiply the rate by time to obtain the amount the fluid was strained during that time.
