How to automate geometry, mesh and case setup using starccm+

Hi All,

I am new to starccm+ and wanted to know whether it has a scripting language like ANSYS does with the journal file to automate the process of geometry and mesh creation and setting up a simulation? In it does it would be nice to know how can learn this as quickly as possible.

Thanks!

Jimmy

Yeah it has..in the form of macro's which is based on java....just start macro to record ur actions and then later use it to automate the same process...

Note however that while recording and replaying java macros does work, it implies that all the models require exactly the same initial state for the process to work correctly. For a robust and more general solution, you'll need considerably more effort.

I concur. In principle Java macros work. In practice, any deviation from what you recorded instantly becomes an exercise in patience, perserverance, and computer science.
