Explicit derived plane

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a derived plane on a solution so I can do a surface integral, however I wish to put the plane on specific co-ordinates. (over he core of a vortex so I can calculate the circulation). I can only find how to create a plane in Star CCM+ that snaps to the whole region, and so far have been unable to create a plane using my specified co-ordinates. Can anyone advise me on how to create a custom derived plane to the co-ordinates I want?

Thanks
Dan

Bit confused if you are wanting to make a plane at an (x,y,z) you know now, or an (x,y,z) you will calculate, but if the former:

Right click on Derived Parts -> New Part->Section->Plane

Derived Parts -> New Part -> Section -> Constrained Plane

Read the help file for details.

Thanks guys, ended up using an arbitary plane that has got the job done!
