Hi,
I'm trying to analyze the flow around NACA0012 airfoil in 2D.
The length of freestream field is 15.1m and chord length of airfoil is 1m.
I used trimmer and blocks in volume shapes function for generating mesh, but it wasn't good. Cell size is not uniform that I thought.

How can I generate a uniform sized mesh? Please teach me.

It tends to do that when you cut a 2d plane. Make sure your cut plane is exactly in the z=0 plane.
Otherwise, it shouldn't be a problem. Use cell quality remediation when running the simulation.

It needs some rotation and scaling.

JBeilke

Hope you are doing well. I am looking for some help from you. Currently I am working on 3D airfoil (NACA 2412) simulation. I am new in star CCM. Can you please send me any tutorial/ or required steps for VOLUME MESHING around 3D airfoil?

I am passing my sleepless nights to get a way, but not found anything yet. It would be a great help for me - if anybody would give me some guidelines on how to mesh upon .IGES geometry imported in star ccm.

my mail add: mahbub.me.buet@gmail.com

Thank you in advance.
