Hi

I'm trying to simulate the filling of a mold. The mold is of a complex shape and I was wondering if it is possible to do a multiphase simulation without having to convert the mesh to 2D.

Thanks.

Yes you can do 3D multi-phase.

I'm still quite new to Star CCM and CFD, I'm a student you see.

My overall objective is to simulate the flow of am epoxy resin through a fibre matt within a mould, like in resin transfer moulding.

I can do the 2D multiphase tutorial in the training guide but am having difficulty transferring the skills learnt from this into my problem.

Could anyone give me any advice?

Regards
