getting started with open flows

Hi there, i want to get into open flows..
i want to simulate a channel with a square profile, and this channel is half full with water...
do anyone know a tutorial for this case? i dont found something in the training guide.

Have a look on the tutorial "boat in head waves" in the dfbi section (without modelling the boat) and / or the "gravity-driven flow tutorial).
Modelling an open channel should be a simple vof simulation, so check for this in the user guide.
