I'm attempting to convert a 3D mesh to a 2D mesh. However the program only seems to want to cut the mesh down a plane that is unspecified and a plane I don't want it to be cut down. Is there anyway one can specify the plane to be cut? I've created planes, I've split the regions... thoughts?

Your 2D mesh will be extracted from the xy-plane (z=0) of the laboratory coordinate system. So you have to position your 3D mesh in the way that the xy-plane can be used to extract your 2D mesh. Ensure that only boundaries are at the xy-plane. It is not possible to cut volume cells by the conversion process.
