Assigning constant temperature to an interface boundary in a conjugate HT.
Im trying to simulate the heat transfer between a machine and the air which surrounded it.
Since there are two parts in my machine(one of them is heat source) , i should have two regions(Solid and Fluid) to simulate the heat transfer between those solid parts as well as heat transfer between these parts with air.
But, having two physic continuums, makes some problems:
1) If i create appropriate interfaces to be able to generate volume mesh, Then assigning a constant temperature to one of my machine Parts(which is heat source) is impossible.Because after running, these interfaces will be emptied and the constant temperature will not be maintained anymore.
2) if i dont make interface between the mentioned parts with air,then generating a volume mesh is not possible.
Is there anybody know how can i assign a constant temperature to one part of my machine.
(the picture is attached to this post.the above part called Spindle, should have a constant temperature and the machinebed should be influenced by the above part as well as convection with the air.
I created the Air region by subtracting a block by the machine)

Create your volume mesh with interfaces. After the volume has been meshed you can delete the interface under the interfaces node. Now you are able to set the thermal specification to temperature at the certain boundaries at each region (machine and air) which has build your interface before.
I guess after removing the interface boundary, No heat transfer equation will be solved for that boundary by the software, wont be?
There will be no heat exchange between the regions, thats right, because there is no interface anymore. But what does a region, the air for example see, is that there is a wall which is set on constant temperature and the heat transfer from that boundary into the region will be solved. The same on the other side for the other region (machine). And this works like an interface with constant temperature.
