I have encounted a problem when I analysis the thermal stress of the structure.

*** WARNING *** CP = 1859.750 TIME= 15:55:37
Contact element 678402 (real ID 142) status changes abruptly from
contact (with target element 678578) -> no-contact.

But I can not find the the location of the element 678402(real ID 142).
How can i know the node ID?

Hello Qingguo,
This how you can see the node in problem.
Go to Mechanical and create a Named Selection.
In the details of the Named Selection, for Scoping Method choose Worksheet; a table will open in Graphic interface.
Right click here and select Add Row and set the following:
Entity = Mesh Node
Criterion = Node ID
Value = 142 (ID of the problem node)
Hit Generate, which is above the table; go to the Graphics tab and visualize the problem node; the node is shown in pink and the geometry is given along to locate it easily.

Hope this helped.
