arnaldo_ii is on a distinguished road
Hi, i'm very new using Ansys Mechanical APDL
I'd like to know how to simulate a floor diaphragm. I'm doing this to simulate a shear structure. I'm trying to use the element "Plane182" but it gives me this error

"quadrilateral element 1 has a zero or negative determinant of the jacobian matrix at one of its sampling locations"

i have already given the thickness, modulus of elasticity, Poisson ratio, density and the 4 nodes (i,j,k,l)

The structure i'm working with it's made by orthogonal frames, the only plane elements are this floors. The structure i'm working with is made by frames, the only plane elements are this floors.

I'll apreciate any help.
Greetings.
