mesh generation with pointwise

Hello everbody:)

I am about to create my first pointwise mesh for su2 and I am wondering if anybody has any experience with setting the markers for the flow solver within pointwise?

I am talking about the Euler-, farfield wall boundary marker(s) etc?

I appreciate any advice:)
Best regards

Dear granbycools,

In pointwise, first use the menu CAE>Select Solver..., and from the options on the left select Stanford ADL/SU2.

Next, go to CAE>Set Dimension and select whether your case is 2D or 3D.

Finally, go to CAE>Set Boundary Condition. In the panel on the left, create a new boundary and give it a name, for example "farfield." In the main pain, select the edges or faces you wish to describe. Then click the check box to the left of the new boundary condition created in the left pane. Do this for every type of boundary in your case.

When you are done, use File>Export>CAE to save a .su2 grid file.

Be sure to update your case's input file (.cfg) so that the marker names are the same as those you've defined in Pointwise.

Hope this helps!
