parallel vs single

1 Attachment(s)
Finally got parallel to run BUT where solving on the turb_ONERA6.cfg if I run on single core it runs TWICE as fast as on a four core ??

When running four core it seems to do the same job over on each core + all of the MPI overhead.

Do you can run parallel in win7?
If yes,you can tell me how to install the su2 v3.2 in win7,thank you greatly.

No I gave up on that . To get it to run on Linux was more a matter of setting up the PATH's to the MPI /bin file . I still think although it runs it is not doing it properly as it is way slower than on one core. The Linux attempt is just a sanity test and once done will try and get windows working

It seems that each calculation is carried out 4 times on 4 cores, rather than 1 time on 4 cores. This is due to a faulty mpicxx setup. View this thread for more info:

The same issue arised on my machine, I simply had to check if the link towards mpicxx was set correctly.
