Dear Colleague,

The SU2 team is excited to announce the version 3.2 release of the SU2 open-source code (http://su2.stanford.edu). SU2 is a collection of C++ software tools for performing Partial Differential Equation (PDE) analysis and for solving PDE-constrained optimization problems, with special emphasis on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and aerodynamic shape design.

This update to the SU2 suite features major improvements to the performance, robustness, and usability of the code. The infrastructure for parallel calculations has been completely revamped, including more efficient mesh partitioning. Stricter configuration file parsing helps keep your simulation parameters organized and error-free. A unified suite of test cases, now available directly from GitHub (https://github.com/su2code/TestCases), makes getting up and running with SU2 easier than ever.

We ask that you please distribute this announcement with the attached flyer to any colleagues, researchers, or students that might be interested.

Version 3.2 contains the following notable updates:

• Renamed C++ modules for clarity:
• SU2_DDC ---> SU2_PRT
• SU2_MDC ---> SU2_DEF
• SU2_MAC ---> SU2_MSH
• SU2_GDC ---> SU2_GEO
• SU2_GPC ---> SU2_DOT
• Stricter checking and improved error messages for robust parsing of configuration options.
• Unified set of SU2 test cases (meshes and config. files) are now available on GitHub (https://github.com/su2code/TestCases).
• Major updates to the MPI implementation that improve performance and align with the MPI 3.0 standard.
• Modifications that greatly enhance computational efficiency and memory scalability of mesh partitioning for parallel calculations.
• New constant lift mode. Specify a target lift coefficient rather than a fixed angle of attack.
• Upgrades to the CGNS mesh reader for further support of mixed-element meshes.
• General bug fixes and maintenance.

SU2 V3.2 is now available on our download page (http://su2.stanford.edu/download.html). As always, we are grateful to the open-source community for their interest, help, and support.

I install the V3.2,but when paralleling,facing an error:
D:\>cd naca0012

D:\naca0012>parallel_computation.py -f inv_NACA0012.cfg -p 2
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\SU2\parallel_computation.py", line 26, in <module>
import SU2
ImportError: No module named SU2

D:\naca0012>

I am looking forward to your rely

It appears from the post that the issue of "Import failing to identify SU2" has been resolved but on my end such that I am a new comer ... I am still getting this problem. I downloaded a fresh binary for 64 bit on my windows 7 and also installed python plus Mpich. I tested those and both are working fine i.e. have done the mpiexec on a test file and python environment is also working fine. I will greatly appreciate help. thanks
