Separated drag contributions

I am using SU2 in order to test a shape optimization loop, and I need to compute the wave drag and the viscous drag separately, as well as friction drag and pressure drag. But I couldn't find the SU2 capabilities to do so, therefore all I've got so far is the total drag.
I would like to know if SU2 provides us with these values, or if we should evaluate them from the flow solution using our own methods.

Thanks in advance,

Andre

Hi Andre,

It's great to hear that you're working with SU2 for shape design. Unfortunately, SU2 does not output a drag breakdown, as it currently only computes the total integrated drag on the specified surface.

There are certainly methods for doing so, and if you have some methods of your own, might you be interested in including/sharing these with the SU2 code?

Thank you for the feedback,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks a lot for your reply. As soon as we develop some methods to do so we will be able to share them.

Andre
