Shape Optimization with PBC
 

Hello,

I'm currently trying out a shape optimization with the periodic boundary conditions on the VKI turbine blade.

The problem is that, when SU2 runs any kind of shape deformation (SU2_DEF) in between designs or even outside the shape optimization context, the resulting mesh file has its periodic boundary conditions messed up. The SEND_RECEIVE section looks degenerated and the points/elements return to their pre-pbc state (I've included a before and after case below, as well as the pre-pbc mesh and the configuration file, though I've tested several other combinations).

Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? Is it a problem with my configuration parameters?

I appreciate any help that I can get and please apologize the compressed files extravaganza below, the forum imposes a quite strict file size upper bound. To rebuild the files, just extract all 7 parts (the last 2 are on the post below) and remount the original files.
