y+ resolution for grids

I assume that with respect to RANS simulations, a resolved SU^2 grid needs resolution on the order y+~1, i.e., no wall models. Also, is there a method for exporting y+ information and/or surface velocity vectors in the surface data?

Hi there,

Indeed, although one of the requested capabilities is the addition of an adaptive wall function formulation, we do not have them in SU2 yet. We are planning on working on them and have them ready for summer time. In the meanwhile, to obtain reasonable accuracy, you should be targeting y+ values around 1.0.

The output format for tecplot can be modified to print out y+ and/or Cf values. I will let others in our development group that may have done that already answer with more specifics and/or post some code that you might use.

Thanks for the information.
