maxx is on a distinguished road
Hello, I'm a Spanish physics student. First of all, my apologies for the possible grammatical/spelling mistakes.

I'm writing to you because I'm doing my final year project, about magnetohydrodinamics. I am trying to make a simulation of an engine which consists on two cilindrical concentrical electrodes at a potencial V. I have derived the magnetic field and the current density field in the fluid between the two electrodes.

The dynamical equations are impossible to solve in an analytical way, so I started searching the web for different programs that could help me, and I found your research team program SU2.

I'm not an expert in programming but I found some pieces of program that seem to refer about electromagnetic force in the files of "numerics_structure.inl" (line 419), "numerics_structure.hpp" (4572-4610).

But I haven't found any place where to introduce any electrical conductivity value at "config_template.cfg". In the CGNS website I saw that there are some "descriptor nodes" (maybe I'm wrong, but I think they are simple atributes that we can give to the spatial points of the mesh) like "EMMagneticFieldModel_t " (cgns.github.io/CGNS_docs_current/sids/floweqn.html#EMElectricFieldModel) so maybe the current density and the magnetic field are given in the .cgns format of the mesh input file of your program.

The question is whether am I able to simulate my problem with SU2 and CGNS tools .

Thank you for your time.
