Dear developer,
I test the DEFORMING option in the v2.08. I use the viscous grid of RAE2822 given in the directory of Testcase/rans/rae2822. Using the GRID_DEFORM_METHOD= FEA, the procedure will break and the moving grid will fail. Could you please tell me how to kill the error. Thank you very much. My cfg file and the result of moving grid are attached.

Thank you

Jianming

I found the reason. I am sorry I do not look the source code carefully. The reason for this is that FEA deforming mesh is only effective for triangle in 2D. Thank u.

Hi,

We recently improved the grid deformation technique (all elements should now be available). Feel free to download the current developer version of the code from GitHub and give it a try, .

Cheers,
Tom
