I simulate a hypersonic aircraft. The mach number of farfield is 6.0. But when the residual of density reaches -7, the resulting highest mach number reaches 1200. I use the eluer solver, and the quality of mesh is good. I want to know the reason of the situation. Can you help me?

Thank you for your interest in SU2.
Can you please post some more information, like Reynolds number and your other boundary conditions?
The residual magnitude of 10^-7 does not necessarily indicate convergence - how much was the residual reduced from initial values? Have you tried looking at the history of the residual to see if it might be diverging?

These are my config file and the mach results.

Thank you very much.

First, investigate where in your volume the high Mach numbers occur. That will help you figure out which part of the solution is having difficulty and inform an changes to the mesh that might be necessary.

You may want to try moving the "outlet" boundary further away from the vehicle and change it to a farfield condition. Currently you have a situation where at the boundary between "outlet" and "farfield" you have discontinuous conditions. This is also imposing a pressure very close to the back of your vehicle. I can't really see the geometry clearly in your picture, but you may also want to check whether the angle at the back of your vehicle exceeds the maximum Prandtl-Meyer turning angle.
