Does anyone know if SU^2 can run overset grid simulations?

Thank you for your interest in SU2.
SU2 cannot currently run overset grid simulations. This functionality may be added in the future.

Hi all,

Was overset grid implemented into SU2?

Here is an example of implementation:

Wonder if it's a built-in feature or not.

All the best,

No such capability at the moment, and to my knowledge no one is working on it.

Some one worked in past past using OPERA Overset algorithm - "Integrating the Stanford University Unstructured Code (SU2) With Overset Grid Integrating the Stanford University Unstructured Code (SU2) With Overset Grids"
AIAA 2015-3428
https://doi.org/10.2514/6.2015-3428

But seems like it never made to the repository.

I developed the OPERA framework for SU2 along with my student(in the youtube video). The development stalled after 2015. However, if anyone is interested, please get in touch with me to continue this development. d [dot] chandar [at] qub [dot] ac [dot] uk
