Max value in the extracted line

Hi
I want to know if there is any way to find out the maximum value of a variable on an extracted precise line. I would like to use it to normalize the data on that line with the maximum value. I looked at maximum but it needs two values for comparison. Regards |

Hello Ramesh,
You can go to Data>Data Set Info, select your extracted line zone, and use the maximum variable value. Use this value in the Specify Equation dialog to normalize the variables of interest. There are also ways to automate this process using our Python API (PyTecplot). If you have any questions about this workflow, please reach out to support@tecplot.com. |

yes I know this but if I have to use the maximum value or minimum value of a particular variable in the dataset, what is the command that is required to be used is the precise question. currently I am manually copying the maximum value in order to automate it what is the process ? |
