tecplot ascii format, passive variables

So, I have read the Tecplot manuals and while they do mention Passive variables, they do not offer an example. Can anyone provide an example on how to specify passive variables?

As it turned out, I found an example in another forum:
PASSIVEVARLIST=[vn1,vn2,vn3,...] |
