TECPLOT cell-centered data
 

hi guys,i wonder that the cell centered data is valid in tecplot 360 2009.i write a test data below,but it really not function the way i want:
TITLE="FE_CELL_CENTERED"
VARIABLES = "X", "Y","P"
ZONE N=9, E=4, datapacking=block, zonetype= FEQUADRILATERAL,varlocation=([1,2]=nodal,[3]=cellcentered)
0,1,2,0,1,2,0,1,2

can anybody help me ? you know that interpolation from cell centered data to
nodal data seems too silly.but the cellcentered data of tecplot is wrong.

yes iilw you are right it's wrong or at least very bad ! I don't know what Tecplot Inc waits before to fix such bugg especially if we consider the price they sell their software...

dear friend,
i have found some replies from the web and i can now use the cell-centered data .we can use it in this way:write the data according to the guide;open the files;click the zone style;choose the contour;choose primitive value of contour type;when you want to check each cell use probe,you must look to "zone/cell info" not the "var values" in which the value is really wrong.so we can use the cell-centered data in this way.
