In the frame of the EU project NEWLED a PhD position is offered to study the pulsed growth of nitride-based active LED layers. The work is to be conducted in close collaboration of some of the NEWLED project partners. Your tasks: • Development of relevant growth models for complex chemical surface reactions during pulsed film growth in MOVPE reactors (Micro-scale modeling), in close collaboration with project partners • Coupling of the developed growth models with full-scale reactor (CFD) models (Macro-scale modeling) • Execution of experiments in production and lab MOVPE reactors to gather experimental data for model calibration and validation • Optimization of pulsed film growth processes of active nitride-based layers in LED’s using the developed multi-scale models Your profile: • M.Sc. in engineering or natural sciences, e.g. mechanical or chemical engineering, physics or chemistry • Knowledge in thermodynamics and reaction kinetics • Experience in CFD modeling, programming (e.g. Matlab, C or Fortran) • Excellent english language skills What we offer: • Diverse area of responsibility in dynamic environment • Several development and career opportunities • Flexible working hours • Work-life balance We are looking forward to your application referencing the code 2530 In case of further questions plase contact Harald Laux +49 941 850-1009 Harald.Laux@osram-os.com |
