Senior Software Developer

Position Summary:
The position entails the development of cutting edge meshing algorithms, meshing
data structures, and meshing component infrastructure. The successful candidate
will join an agile, fast paced team that produces best in class mesh generation
software that supports the core product lines of ANSYS.

Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities:
- Architect, design and develop core meshing generation algorithms and
supporting infrastructures for the ANSYS Meshing Platform
- Participate in ANSYS Agile SDLC
- Maintain Code

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- A Masters or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied
Mathematics, or related discipline
- At least 5 years of proven accomplishments in the mesh generation community
via academic, research or industry experience.
- Working knowledge of com ponent software design is critical
- Deep knowledge of various meshing data structures and techniques are critical
- Experience in geometry tolerant meshing techniques on industrial CAD models
involving a very large number of parts is highly desirable
- Proven proficiency in C/C++ design and implementation on Windows is required.
Working knowledge of COM, .NET, C# as well as Linux experience is a plus

Other Job Requirements:
- Experience with agile and lean software development processes is also a plus
- Experience with Open Source software development is a plus
