An exciting opportunity currently exists in our growing Hong Kong office to
become part of our team of world class risk consultants undertaking projects in
Hong Kong, Asia Pacific and worldwide. Our risk team provides Process Safety,
Risk and Reliability Assessments to clients in the oil and gas (including
offshore), refinery, chemicals and petrochemical sectors.
To meet our strong growth, ERM Hong Kong is seeking high calibre candidates
with the potential to become one of our top consultants. The successful
candidate will provide technical expertise in CFD and lead studies involving
modelling of vapour cloud explosions, fire and thermal radiation, smoke
dispersion and toxic gas dispersion. We also anticipate involvement in other
aspects of risk assessment studies including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA, and RAM
studies. The position requires an energetic person who is motivated to travel
on a regular basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree from a reputable university in chemical engineering,
mathematics, physics or mechanical engineering.
Higher degree in an Engineering discipline, specializing in
Computational Fluid Dynamics
At least 5 years of CFD modelling experience, preferably in areas
relating to explosions, fires and/or dispersion studies
Additional experience in hazard and risk related studies such as HAZOP,
SIL, QRA, and RAM will be a definite advantage
Exposure to the oil & gas or petrochemical industries would be
beneficial
Candidates with less experience may be considered for a more junior
position
And
Demonstrate experience in project management and client liaison
Excellent communication skills and academic qualifications
Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and numerical data
Flexibility to work on different types of project
Motivated to travel on a region-wide and worldwide basis regularly to
meet client needs; (Travel may be extensive on some projects)
