Description:
Provide analytical support for the design and development of the Transonic
Combustion injector and combustion system. Transonic Combustion is conducting
pioneering research in injector technology for fuel delivery in a supercritical
state to internal combustion engines and the consequent mixing and combustion
processes. Fluid dynamics and heat transfer analysis are, thus, an integral
part of the development process at Transonic Combustion.
Currently we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our analysis
group. This individual will have the opportunity to work on flow, conjugate
heat transfer and combustion analysis. Tasks will include geometry
manipulation, mesh generation, simulation setup and report preparation.
Requirements
• Excellent understanding of general fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and
heat transfer principles.
• An MS in mechanical engineering or related field of study. A candidate
with a BS in mechanical engineering or related field with at least 3 yrs of
experience in the field of CFD analysis will also be considered.
• Experience with geometry manipulation, meshing and simulation setup
using commercial CFD software.
Preferred
• Experience with heat transfer analysis
• Experience with combustion analysis
• Experience with ANSYS FLUENT and Matlab
