CFD Consultant Profile:
The CFD Consultant should be well-versed with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
analysis, CFD modeling and CFD simulation. She/He would supervise CFD projects,
provide CFD consulting and direction to offshore teams with strong communication
channel, vendors and customers with focus on CFD domain expertise, coordination
and negotiation skills from New York, NY. This is an ongoing contract position
based on projects.
What would you do?
Work closely with the CFD Services team of HiTech CFD
(http://www.hitechcfd.com/services.html)
Develop representative CFD models for automobile, energy, oil & gas,
manufacaturing industry.
Optimize parts design through the use of CFD analysis tools within the
chosen process capabilities
Operate as liaison between offshore CFD Engineers, external vendors and
inhouse CFD analysis consultants
Establish correlation between "standard" models and lab tests with optimum
efficient design
Provide CFD consultation to CFD engineers and direct them to effectively
perform CFD
Provide design guidance and solutions for components and/or assemblies
Qualifications
BSME or equivalent (with emphasis on Fluids, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer,
etc.).
A minimum of 3 years CFD analysis experience using Ansys Fluent, OpenFoam,
Paraview, CFX, Star CCM+ experience
Pro-Engineer CAD modeling capability is highly desirable
Experience leading CAE projects highly desirable
Multiple industry knowledge is preferred
Ability to work with diverse global teams
Candidate must possess a proven record of accomplishment
Must have strong problem solving skills, organization, interpersonal,
written and oral communication skills
Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook is required
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is required
