The Center for Predictive Engineering and Computational Sciences (PECOS) in the
Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences at The University of Texas
at Austin has an open position for a postdoctoral researcher to work with Prof.
Robert Moser and the PECOS team in the area of computational fluid dynamics. The
successful candidate will be involved in the simulation of thermally driven
vortices and other advanced applications using modern computational techniques,
including finite elements.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Computational Sciences, Mechanical
or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, and is expected to excel in: 
1) numerical solution of partial differential equations
2) scientific computing
3) supercomputing environments, including Linux/unix
4) mathematical modeling of fluid dynamic phenomena. 
Experience with C++ software development and familiarity with the libMesh finite
element library will be particularly helpful.
