Pointwise, Inc., the leading independent developer of CFD mesh generation
software, is seeking a self-motivated and highly energetic individual to join
our sales and marketing team as an applications engineer.

Responsibilities

In this highly visible technical position, you will apply our software and other
CFD software to solve unique and challenging problems and then communicate your
solutions to the engineering community through writing and presenting technical
papers at conferences and related events, producing webinars and videos,
participating in industry trade shows, and preparing articles for Pointwise
publications. This work will be performed individually as well as collaboratively.

This position requires someone with high energy, a working knowledge of
computational fluid dynamics (CFD), excellent communications skills (including
listening, speaking, writing, and presenting), and the ability to work well with
other people.  In this position, you will be able to develop knowledge of
various business operations while still continuing an engineering career.

Abilities/Education/Experience

Due to the highly technical nature of our market, we require someone who already
has experience, both academic and industrial, in applying CFD to real world
problems.  You are an ideal candidate for this position if you

* have a working knowledge of and experience with CFD and grid generation
software (experience with Pointwise is a plus)
* an M.S. in engineering or a related field and/or applicable CFD experience
* have excellent oral and written communication skills
* have excellent interpersonal skills
* can work both independently and as part of a team
* are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (due to the requirement to work with
ITAR-controlled articles provided by our customers)
