Post-Doc opening at the Laboratory for Alternative Energy Conversion (LAEC), at
Simon Fraser University (SFU), in modeling and design of mini-/micro-channel
heat exchangers made from emerging graphite materials
We are hiring a post-doc who has a proven sound expertise in modeling and
experimentation in the area of two-phase flow heat transfer and fluid flow in
mini-/micro-channels and/or compact heat exchangers. A strong background in
thermofluidic energy system modeling, two-phase flow modeling and
experimentation, CFD, electronic cooling, and experimentation with knowledge and
experience in verification/validation analysis is key.
Additional expertise in computational flow and heat transfer, material
characterization and other sustainable energy management systems is desirable. A
Ph.D. in mechanical or chemical engineering completed within the last five
years, or soon to be completed, is required.
We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting candidate interested to
interact with a variety of academic and industrial experts. Excellent written,
oral, and presentation skills are required. Funding for up to 2 years will be
available. The candidate will be expected to provide input to graduate students,
liaise with the industrial partner of the project, produce publishable results,
lead design and prototyping, and publish frequently. Please e-mail your
application package to Dr. M. Bahrami at mbahrami@sfu.ca as a single PDF file.
The application package should include a cover letter, CV, and a list of
references.
Deadline: Until position is filled.
