A PhD scholarship is available in the Institute of Mechanics, Materials and
Civil Engineering of the University of Louvain (UCL) in Belgium. The research
projects focuses on the fundamental aspects of  particle-laden flows and
two-phase flows of granular mixtures, with applications to sediment formation
and transport and to the handling and storage of bulk granular materials in
industry. Successful candidates will possess a Master's degree in engineering,
physics or mathematics and a background in fluid dynamics and in numerical
methods for partial differential equations. Good knowledge of English is required.
