You will manage the technical aspect of the Marie Curie Integrated Training 
Network (ITN) AeroTraNet 2 on modelling shock-associated jet noise from wide-
body civil aircraft engines and associated knowledge capture methods. This 
€2.8M EC FP7 consortium of 9 European partners trains 9 Early Stage Researchers 
and 2 Experienced Researchers in aero-acoustics across 4 EU member states.  You 
will have a PhD (or equivalent) in Science, Engineering or a closely related 
field and you must be able to demonstrate outstanding organisational skills and 
have a growing scientific writing track record of international standing. 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as the 
ability to apply for funding, manage grants, and supervise PhD students. You 
will assume the administrative and financial responsibilities for the 
University of Leicester work-share of the programme and lead the overall 
consortium report writing, publication of scientific results, and outreach 
activities.
