Multiple PhD scholarships are available to pursue a PhD degree in Chemical 
Engineering at Curtin University, Perth Australia. 

The research projects focus on the fundamental aspects of multiphase flows 
involving experiments with advanced measuring techniques as well as CFD 
modelling. 

Some of the topics include:
1. Process modelling and optimization
2. CFD simulation of gas-liquid flows 
3. Cluster formation in dilute gas-solid flows
4. Hydrodynamics of gas solid flows 
5. Interaction of liquids with hot solid surfaces 

Successful candidates will possess a first class bachelor or Master's degree in 
chemical engineering with an IELTS score of at least 6.5 (7 preferred) in 
Academic test. Strong background in process modelling, fluid dynamics and 
numerical computations is advantageous. Experience in high‐level programming 
languages (Fortran 90, C++) together with decent knowledge of Linux operational 
systems are welcomed. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, 
enthusiastic, meticulous with excellent communicative and collaborative skills.
