As a Halliburton Sr. Professional of Mechanical Technology, you participate in
analysis, modification and design for multiple products and/or projects of
great complexity. You must be proficient in the application of standard
materials and components. You investigate the use of Take advantage of the
opportunities to lead projects or design teams. Further the cause of research
by developing test procedures and conducting tests to analyze for assigned
projects. You advise and assist in resolving field and manufacturing problems
to maintain and improve products and services. A desire for variety in working
conditions is essential, as this job occasionally involves physical exertion,
outside work and may include routine travel.
A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar discipline and a
minimum of four years related experience and Design Engineering, including
experience in Mechanical Downhole and/or Mechanical Service Equipment are
required for the position. A Professional Engineer’s license is preferred.
This position requires that the incumbent has fundamental understanding and
extensive knowledge of Fluid Mechanics and Computational Fluid Dynamics,
experience with turbulent flow and multiphase flow analysis, experience with
analysis and modeling of solid particle erosion a plus. The incumbent should be
a team player and self motivated, has the ability to communicate clearly and
confidently with internal and external customers. Experience with commercial
CFD codes, such as ANSYS/CFX, ANSYS/FLUENT desired. The position also requires
the completion of an undergraduate degree and graduate degree in Mechanical
Engineering or similar discipline; Ph.D. with emphasis on fluid mechanics
and/or CFD preferred, 1+ year related experience.
