The position is suitable for people with experience from mathematical modelling
of premixed combustion phenomena such as gas, vapour, mist, dust or hybrid
explosions. Experience from software development and computational fluid
dynamics (CFD) is an advantage.

Job description:
- Implementing, validating and documenting models for simulating turbulent
reactive flows in the CFD code FLACS
- Project proposals and project management
- Documentation, support and training related to combustion
- Dissemination of results: publications and presentations

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of relevant physical phenomena: vapour cloud explosions (VCEs),
premixed combustion with non-premixed substructures (dust and mist explosions),
deflagration-to-detonation-transition (DDT).
- Familiar with relevant technology: process safety, quantitative risk
assessment (QRA), oil & gas processing, chemical engineering, etc.
- Excellent programming skills in Fortran
- Experience from mathematical modelling and software development
- Developer and user of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software
- Experience from project management and team work
