The primary responsibility of this position is to create numerical 
computational models in a team environment.  You will take a leading role in 
the development and implementation of novel Computational Fluid Mechanics (CFD) 
algorithms for complex flow field modeling such as multi-component and multi-
phase flow.   You will also develop and implement continuous and discrete 
physical models using state-of-the-art and advanced computational 
engineering/mathematics algorithms.  You will have the proven ability to write 
large and complex software from scratch in C or C++.  Being an expert user of 
existing commercial software does not qualify you for this position.  You 
should be capable of developing high quality and robust software architecture 
and should possess very strong numerical computational and programming skills.  
You will be a part of multidisciplinary team creating cutting edge simulation 
software in support of fracturing products and processes.  As a team member, 
you will be expected to participate and contribute to your team activities, 
document your results, and publish them where appropriate.  Additional success 
criteria include strong analytic and research skills, strong communication 
skills, and most importantly the ability to take initiative and make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:
•Develop innovative products, processes which incorporate reliability, quality, 
and safety requirements
•Provide consultation and technology transfers to internal and external peers 
on numerical modeling
•Manage numerical development projects from concept to production


 
Basic Qualifications:
•Completion of a doctorate in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, 
Petroleum Engineering, Computational Mathematics, or Computational Engineering
•Must meet the GPA requirement of 3.0 or higher
•Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience developing CFD software
•Proven ability to write large complex software in C/C++

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
•Familiarity Microsoft software development tools
•Familiarity with parallel programming such as OpenMP
•Familiarity with symbolic mathematics such as Mathmatica
