- Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory
- A small CFD research group working with heat transfer in heat exchangers, multiphase flow, and direct numerical simulations of buoyancy driven flows. The HEATX CFD code for 3-D simulation of heat exchangers and the WING program for 2-D panel simulation of multi-element airfoil sections are available. The HEATX code includes sub-models for turbulence, leakage, fouling, baffles, shell-side and tube-side flows, and a lagrangian particle method for more general problems in reactors that might involve drop evaporation, condensation, and chemical reactions.
