OpenFOAM Master Class, Melbourne, Australia - 13th August 2014

Description:

Dr Darrin Stephens and guest expert Dr Aleksandar Jemcov 
will deliver this one-day class. The purpose of this course 
is to enable participants to read the OpenFOAM library 
without fear. The class will consists of a series of 
interactive lectures with code walk-through that provide a 
detailed understanding of the OpenFOAM library. This 
training focuses on the OpenFOAM Foundation version 2.2.x of 
OpenFOAM, however, the skills gained can be translated to 
any other version of OpenFOAM. 
 
Class Syllabus 
OpenFOAM library layout from the ground up, 
Finite Volume theory and its implementation in OpenFOAM, 
Boundary condition theory and implementation, 
Discretisation and Linear solver setup guidelines, 
Ask an expert. Each attendee will get a chance to ask 
questions relating to issues they are facing with their own 
usage of OpenFOAM. 
 
A hard copy of the training notes will be provided. 
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptop with 
access to the OpenFOAM source so they can follow along. 
 
It is expected that the attendees have completed the 
OpenFOAM Introductory course or have 
significant (3+ months) experience using OpenFOAM.
