Topic: CFD Simulation with STAR-CCM+ as a Substitute for Experimental Testing Summary: Engineering simulation is now recognised to provide predictions that are more accurate, less expensive and that cover a larger operating conditions spectrum than experimental testing. This presentation will focus on practical examples where CFD was used to explore the performance of different products or processes while eliminating or greatly reducing the experimental testing phases. Projects such as the conjugate heat transfer simulation and optimization of a LED luminaire heat sink will be covered, as well as the simulation of drinking water pumping wells and the ventilation analysis of a cleanroom.
