Like many other live events, we had to cancel this year’s 
ISimT-20, our “Symposium on Innovative Simulations in 
Turbomachinery” which we had planned for November 2020, due to 
the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we want to continue to offer a 
platform for the exchange of trends and developments in 
turbomachinery-related CFD simulation and use the possibilities 
of online meetings for this. Therefore, we have considered a 
unique format for this unique year: ISimT-20 as a compact 
online webinar on

19 November 2020, 15:00 h – 16:30 h (CET).

The program consists of the following presentations:

• Thorsten Hansen: Simulation of off-design operating points – 
unsteady-state & (yet) efficient.
• Paul Galpin: Calculation of pump characteristics with 
operating point-adapted computational meshes.
• Georg Scheuerer: Heat transfer calculations on a high-
pressure turbine blade - determination of heat transfer 
coefficients.

After each presentation, attendees will have time for questions 
and discussion. Registration is free of charge via email to
