Intended audience & prerequisites:

This course is for FLUENT users from the automotive industry who are interested in modeling various automotive acoustics problems. Attendees must have completed FLUENT introductory training and it is recommended that they have at least one year of experience using the software.

Course format:

lectures and hands-on tutorials

Students can expect to learn:

• the main applications of CFD in the area of acoustics
• best practices for using FLUENT to solve automotive acoustics problems, including use of the computational aeroacoustics model, broadband noise model, and acoustic analogy model

Students will have hands-on workstation time to complete tutorials on computational aeroacoustics, the acoustic analogy model, and broadband noise modeling.
