Azore CFD announces it’s latest release, available starting in March 2024. The new features in this release position Azore as an even more powerful CFD tool, with greater technical capabilities and faster performance. Users now have incredible flexibility in turbulence modeling and can dramatically reduce post-processing time with multi-threading capabilities.
AZORE CFD'S NEW FEATURES AND UPDATES
- k-ω SST Turbulence Model: The most notable upgrade is the newly integrated k-ω SST turbulence model, offering an alternative to the widely-used k-ε model. Along with this change, the wall function implementation smoothly accommodates variations in near wall mesh length scales of Y+ < 1 up through the fully turbulent Y+ length scales.
- Customized Turbulence Source Terms: Whether employing the k-ω SST or k-ε turbulence model, Azore now includes the ability to customize source terms directly in the user interface. Unique and highly specific turbulence source terms can be applied to any simulation. Users can adjust these terms depending on the real-world flow conditions.
- GUI Parallelization: Azore has always had the ability to multi-thread solver operations to save simulation time, but now this has been extended to the GUI for incredible processing speeds. The user interface will now engage multiple cores when performing complex post-processing actions such as pathline generation, iso-surface generation, data extraction, and cell-by-cell data analysis. The addition of multi-threading to an already efficient GUI means users will enjoy a highly-responsive post-processing experience.
- Fan Boundary Conditions: The effects of fan flow can now be easily incorporated to any simulation with FanJump. This option is now available as a boundary condition setting on an interior surface. For the selected surface, flow can be accelerated or decelerated based on readily-available fan curve coefficients. Users can analyze pressure changes associated with fan placement and speed, with the option to track pathlines through the fan surfaces.
