PADT Adds Flownex Thermal-Fluid System Simulation Environment to Simulation Product Offerings Tempe, AZ – Jan 18, 2012 - Phoenix Analysis & Design Technologies, Inc. (PADT) and M-Tech Industrial (Pty) Ltd. are pleased to announce the official launch of PADT as a distributor of the Flownex Simulation Environment in the Southwestern United States. The addition of Flownex to the products and services that PADT already offers broadens the range of solutions that the company can provide to its customers, specifically in the area of system modeling of fluid and thermal systems. Flownex is a system and sub-system simulation tool used to design and integrate thermal hydraulic systems. It enables engineers to predict, design and optimize for: flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and heat transfer rates in any fluid system. Flownex can design and optimize closed and open loop flow and heat transfer systems with any amount of branching flows (diverging and converging) and inlets and outlets. Such systems include anything from ventilation systems, water and gas distribution systems, up to boiler designs and complete power generation cycles. The addition of the Flownex Simulation Environment to PADT’s offerings came out of a long time need that the company’s sales and technical staff was seeing when engaging with customers. According to Eric Miller, Principal and Co-Owner of PADT: “We kept running into customers who were happy with the detailed CFD tools we were providing them with, but were struggling with understanding the behavior of the system that their components worked in. They needed a way to understand the bigger picture. So our engineers started looking around and found Flownex was the best tool to fill this need. They also saw that it was a well-designed and written tool.” After a technical and business evaluation, both parties agreed to work together and PADT would become a distributor of the tool in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and California. PADT is an established distributor for both Stratasys Rapid Prototyping systems and simulation tools from ANSYS, Inc. Over the years they have built a worldwide reputation for outstanding technical support and a partnering approach to selling software to its customers. Tiaan Dercksen, the Program Manager for the Flownex product line agreed with this assessment: “When we looked into PADT’s reputation in the ANSYS community, we learned quickly that this was a company who reflected the way we wanted to do business and that they were the right group to team with in order to further grow our products usage in the United States.” With the start of 2012, PADT is contacting the engineering community in the Southwestern United States and introducing them to the power, ease of use, and speed of the Flownex Simulation Environment. The need for such a comprehensive tool in this space was reinforced when over 50% of the engineers contacted by the sales team responded during our first day of calling showed interest in learning more about the tool. Ward Rand, PADT’s Principal and Owner responsible for the company’s sales effort said “It is great to find a tool that so clearly meets our customer’s needs and is so well made. It is a pleasure to introduce it to our customers.” To learn more about Flownex and how it can help quickly and accurately simulate your thermal-fluid system, visit www.flownex.com or contact PADT at 480.813.4884 or info@padtinc.com.
