How do I automate cutting task using python script?
I am computer science student I have little bit knowledge about ANSA. I have many model and I want to cut it with plane. Currently I am doing it manually by loading each model and specifying point for cut using standard GUI utilits->cutting plane->xy,yz,zx cut.
For cutting each model required 3 points in order to get that points I am thinking to calculate normal to surface which will give 2 points.Could anyone tell me whether ANSA software has the function to find normal to surface, if does, where can i find the function. If not any suggestion how to do it.

Hello,
In order to generate the script for this task it would be very helpful if you could mention one by one the steps that you follow to do the job manually. All that functions that you are using.

I am cutting model using standard GUI utilits->cutting plane->xy,yz,zx cut. Using python script I am able to specify plane and added it to model but problem is that how to calculate ox,oy,oz of each model automatically.
