Hi,
I am currently simulating flow past NACA0012 airfoil.
Should I use tria or quad for meshing? Please tell me the reason for the same.
Thanks in advance,
Rookier

Hi,

you need to do structured quad 2d or 3d Hexa mesh because these type of mesh will help you capture the boundary layer around the airfoil accurately compared to tria mesh ..

Thanks

If any wrong , please correct me

Hi, Rajnarayan!
Have you ever done all HEXA mesh for difficult detail?
it's interesting to look! if you have some, please, add a pics.

Thanks a lot.

Yes bro, I have done it using Ansys ICEM CFD hexa blocking. I lost the file but i can guide you .. In icem cfd it will be very easy to generate mesh ..Its a type of C- grid generation.. u may find the tutorials in youtube also .

Thank you
