Hi guys, i kindly need your help to have an information about mesh generation in ansa.

I'm dealing with an external aerodynamic problem, the geometry is very simple, is something like an Ahmed Body.

I'm able to create a good quality surface mesh on the body.

The problem is related to the surface mesh of the domain and to the volume mesh. I need to use Hex-type cells (with tet-type cells i've experienced that openfoam diverges very quickly).

I have succeded in creating the refinement box.
The "domain box" has a cell size of 130mm, the first refinement box 65mm, the second refinement box 16.25mm and finally on the body i have 2mm.

When i create the surface mesh of the domain, it is very distorted because there are no buffer layers between different size cells and so it creates gradient in the cell size that cause a very bad quality mesh.
Also the volume mesh close to the edge of the domain is very distorted.

Do you know how to create buffer layer between different cell size (something similar to openfoam snappyhexmesh tool) or how to improve the quality of the mesh when refinement box are needed?
